First Aid at Work

Course duration: 3 days

Intro to the course:

If your assessment of first aid needs requires the need for qualified first aiders, then this level 3 qualification will provide you with the appropriate qualification for your staff to be called upon to administer first aid in the work environment.

The 3 day course covers a huge range of first aid situations, meaning all participants will deal with simulated emergency situations with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition, this course will update staff with any protocol changes that may have arisen since their last training course.

This course is also suitable for people who have never learnt any first aid before. This course will give the participants a qualifications to the highest level of First Aid.

  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Fractures and spinal injuries
  • Bleeding
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Shock
  • Head injuries
  • Sprains and strains
  • Burns
  • CPR – adult
  • Heart attack
  • Eye injury
  • Choking
  • Chest injuries
  • Diabetes
  • Asthma
  • Poisoning
  • Stroke
  • Epilepsy

Certificate – valid for 3 years, regulated by Ofqual.
Renewing the qualification - attend the 2 day re-qualification course before the current FAW certificate runs out, or within 1 month over the expiry date.
